Charles Featherston

Charles Thomas Featherston III, 50, of Rockford died on April 17, 2004, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born April 6, 1954, the son of Charles Joseph and Joyce (Gibbons) Featherston and lived his entire life in Rockford. Recently graduated from the Force Internship Program at Faith Center Church. Survivors include his parents, Charles Joseph and Lillie Featherston; sisters, Joyce Ann (Richard) Nelson, Charlotte Featherston, Diane (Norman) Arand, Sue (Tom) Anderson, Connie (Gary) Lask, Tammy (Marty) McDonald and Teresa (Jim) DeSantis; brother, Michael (Connie) Featherston; two stepbrothers and one stepsister, John, Bob and Nancy Cadarian; nieces, Debbie Stafford, Jill Webster, Dawn and Jennifer Anderson, Erica and Rachel Lask, Carrie McDonald, Angela DeSantis, Melissa and Jessica Featherston; nephews, Mitchall Lask, Kyle McDonald, Patrick DeSantis and Mike Featherston; five great-nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his mother, Joyce; grandparents, Charles Theodore and Clelah Featherston and Robert and Maureen Gibbons; and niece Sarah Lask. A special thanks to Gary and Connie Lask and family.

Service at noon Tuesday, April 20 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with the Rev. Don Lyons, pastor of Faith Center Church, officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
