Dallas Engel, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2004, after a 26-year fight with multiple myeloma and cancer treatment complications. He will be exceedingly missed by wife, Patricia (Wickline); daughters, Crystal Engel of Rockford and Carla (David) Uherka; grandsons, Dustin and Nathan of Maple Grove, Minn.; and brother, Marvin (Helen) Engel of Fergus Falls, Minn. He was predeceased by parents;brother, Melvin; and first wife, Pearl (Anderson). Dallas was born July 19, 1928, in Goodrich, N.D. He serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, attended Bethel College in St. Paul, Minn., the University of Minnesota and received his master's of education degree from the University of Illinois. He taught industrial arts for 24 years of which 21 were at Auburn High School. Dallas was a gifted craftsman and carpenter, who generously assisted many, including serving his church and overseas missions in Venezuela, Africa and the Middle East
