Linda Sarver (Class Of 1971)

LINDA KAY SARVER, 61 SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Linda Kay Sarver, 61, of Salt Lake City, formerly of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2014. Born April 19, 1953, the daughter of Everett "Son" and Ruth (Wickens) Sarver. Graduated from Auburn High School, Drake University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and Ohio University with a Master of Fine Arts. Linda taught at Marquette University, Florida State University, the University of Utah, the European Scenography Centre in London, England and the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She also authored several books as well. Married Thomas Markus on November 12, 1997, in Salt Lake City; he survives her. Linda is also survived by her sister, Suzanne (Marvin) Williams of Holiday Island, Ark.; brother, Chuck (Margy) Sarver of Rockford; nieces, Melissa (Mark) Sarver-West, Kimberly Leombruni and Wendie (Todd) Thorpe; as well as great-nieces, Courtney Leombruni and Emma Thorpe and great nephews, Alex (Ashley Saxton) Sarver and Gabriel Thorpe. She was predeceased by her parents. Private family service was held at North Burritt Cemetery, Winnebago. Arrangements were made by Larkin Mortuary, Salt Lake City and Genandt Funeral Home, Winnebago.
