GAYLE L. (ELGIN) CROSBY, 56 'THE MOTHER LIKE NO OTHER' ROCKFORD - Gayle L. (Elgin) Crosby, 56, died Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born in Rockford on Sept. 16, 1951, daughter of Montelle and Delores (Magnuson) Elgin. Married Robert G. Crosby in Rockford on March 3, 1981. Graduated from Auburn High School in 1970. She is survived by husband, R.G. Crosby; daughter, Glendelle Crosby; and son, Robert James Crosby, both of Rockford; grandchildren, Alexis L. Crosby and Allee Crosby; brother, Gary Elgin of Rockford; and nephews, Jason and Justin Elgin. Predeceased by son, Gary M. Crosby; parents; and brother, Jon Elgin.
