Craig A. Bebee found dead

A 22-year-old Rockford man was found dead in his bedroom Friday morning in his home at 2734 Ashland Court.

Craig Allen Bebee had been in good health previously, but Thursday complained of chest pains, his mother, Mrs. Alice Nemmers, said.  She found her son dead when she returned home from work.

Cause of death was not yet determined Friday evening by the Winnebago County Coroner’s office.

Bebee is survived by his mother; his father, William Bebee, Waterloo, Iowa; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. O.D. Bebee, Waterloo, Iowa; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen L. Johnson, Rockford.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 N. 5th St.  Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Craig A. Bebee, 22, 2734 Ashland Court, died in his home at 8:40 a.m. Friday, July 22, 1977, after a sudden illness.  Born Sept. 27, 1954, in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bebee.  Lived 13 years in Rockford, coming here from Waterloo.  Survivors include his mother, Alice Nemmers, Rockford; his father, William Bebee, Waterloo, Iowa; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and two grandmothers, Mrs. Helen L. Johnson, Rockford, and Mrs. O.D. Bebee, Waterloo.
