Richard Harry Bilodeau Jr., 70, of Freeport, IL, passed away with his family by his side, on September 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with liver disease.
Born on February 21, 1955, to Richard Harry Bilodeau, Sr. and Doris A. (Miller) Bilodeau, Richard graduated from Auburn High School in 1973.  He was an Air Force veteran. Richard worked as a machinist and served as Head Operator for Rockford Products. He was a proud member of the American Legion in Rockford and a devoted Lutheran, attending Trinity Lutheran Church.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed listening to country music, playing his guitar, fishing, and spending cherished moments with his family. His warm heart, steady strength, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his children Jennifer Smallwood, Sean Bilodeau, Richard H. Bilodeau, III and Heather Bilodeau; his brothers Terry Bilodeau and Tim Bilodeau; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special ex-wife Jacquelyn Bilodeau-Covel, the mother of his children; and special friend Bridget Rosandich, thank you for all your help. Richard is predeceased his parents Richard Sr. and Doris Bilodeau; and son Jackie L. Bilodeau.
