Dale “Tishman” “Big Jule” Edward Kallenbach, 69, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was born May 18, 1955 in Rockford, son of Mickey and Aldana (Webster) Kallenbach. Dale married Angela “Lucy” Rivera on September 29, 1979 and started an adventure of a lifetime. Dale and Angela raised three children Michelle (Andrew) Foor, Alex Kallenbach, and Stacey Kallenbach. Dale shared his love for kite building, Anna Page Park, and finding the perfect autumn leaves with his grandchildren, Matthew, Nicolas,Emerson, and Anderson Foor. Dale is survived and dearly missed by siblings, Craig (Eva) Kallenbach, Jeff (Sara) Kallenbach, Sue (Joe) Esposito, and Lisa (Roger) Reid as well as many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Dale is predeceased by his beloved parents.
Dale was a self-employed contractor, working several career paths including installing Brunswick billiard tables professionally across the country and partnered with his father installing swimming pools in the warm seasons. When he had spare time, Dale found adventure and community in geocaching across the Midwest but made connections internationally. Dale enjoyed the challenge of solving the puzzle and the physical hide-and seek. When he retired, Dale developed his cooking and gardening skills, spending time in the garden with Alex and delivering his famous sandwiches to family and friends. Dale also had a deep love for music. He could rarely pass up the opportunity to pick up a guitar or skip a chance to take his wife on a date to an outdoor concert in the park. Dale, above all, enjoyed talking with people. From those in his lifelong neighborhood to those he met along the trails to those friendships he developed over decades, the connections he established were momentous in the twinkling for Dale.
The family would like to extend thanks to the Rockford Fire Department and EMT’s as well as the Swedish American UW Health ER Department for their efforts, and LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services.
