LAWSON - James N. Lawson, 33, died after a tree limb fell on him on Thursday, Aug. 25, 1988 in Rockford Memorial Hospital emergency room. Born Aug. 12, 1955 in Rockford, son of Donald and Gloria Lawson. Lived lifetime in Rockford. Employed as tool and die maker by Elco Tool Co. for 15 years. Member of Messiah Lutheran Church and of Masonic Lodge 166, Tebala Shrine, Freeport Consistory and recreational committee at Elco Tool Co. Graduated from Auburn High School in 1973. Survivors include four children, Nathan, Nicole, Jody and Jennifer, all of Rockford; fiancee, Judy Estes, Rockford; parents, Donald and Gloria Lawson, Rockford; two sisters, Lynne (Kris) Jones, Rockford and Gwen (Jim) Hammer, Auburn, Calif.; paternal grandmother, Fern Lawson, Rockford; many aunts and uncles. Pre-deceased by maternal grandparents, Harry and Inez Hudson and paternal grandfather, Nathan L. Lawson
