LYLE LEWIS MOSS, 102 ROCKFORD - Lyle Lewis Moss, 102, of Rockford, formerly of Belvidere, died Friday, March 12, 2010, in Provena Cor Mariae Center.  Born Oct. 6, 1907, to Louis F. and Lina (Tryon) Moss in Blue Mound.  Married Leota Addis on Aug. 2, 1931, in Fulton County; she died Nov. 26, 1999.
 Lyle was an industrial arts teacher for Belvidere School District from 1943 to 1957 and in the Rockford School District from 1958 until his retirement in 1973.  He was a member of Illinois Education Association, Belvidere Rotary and Belvidere United Methodist Church.  
Survivors include son, Darryl (Nancy) of Belvidere; grandchildren, Teresa Carter of Belvidere, Michael (Jacki) of Belvidere, Steven (Joan) of Rockford) and Stacey Osborne of Lynchburg, Va.; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.  Predeceased by parents; brothers, Kenneth and Wayne; and sister, Eva Moss.
The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Provena Cor Mariae Center for making Lyle's years so enjoyable.  Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time.  The Rev. James Crone will officiate.  Burial in Highland Garden of Memories.
