ALICE M. FRICKE, 67 ROCKFORD - Alice M. Fricke, 67, of Rockford died June 5, 2006, in her home after a short illness.
Born Aug. 13, 1938, in Rockford, the daughter of Stanley O. and Alice (Kinley) Schlaf.  Alice married Helmut Paul Fricke June 4, 1960. She taught English literature and mathematics at Auburn High School and Rock Valley College and was a former member of Rockford Power Squadron for many years. She was a member of First Evangelical Covenant Church.
Survivors include husband, Helmut Paul Fricke; mother, Alice Kinley Schlaf of Rockford; children, David P. (Wanda) Fricke of Hugo, Minn., and Stanley T. (Mika) of New Market, Md.; grandchildren, Paul Gasner, Matt Gasner and Nicole Gasner of Hugo and Yoi S. Fricke of New Market; brother, Thomas F. (Suarez) Schlaf of Columbia, S.C.; sister-in-law, Edith Fricke of Germany; three loving aunts; and many loving cousins.  Predeceased by father, Stanley O. Schlaf.  
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in First Evangelical Covenant Church, 316 Wood Road, with Pastor Dave A. Smith officiating.  Visitation will be from noon until service time.  Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Honquest Family Funeral Home and Crematory, North Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Evangelical Covenant Church.
