BEULAH TOLCH WALKER, 102 July 21, 1913 - Nov. 3, 2015 DES MOINES, IA Beulah Tolch Walker passed away at the age of 102 on November 3, 2015 in Des Moines, Iowa.  Her lifetime career in teaching included positions in Neoga, Oakland, Sullivan, and Mansfield, Illinois, before she and her late husband, Harold, who was also a teacher, moved to Rockford in 1954.  She retired as the Head of the Home Economics department at Auburn High School in Rockford.
Mrs. Walker was born July 21, 1913, at her grandmother's home in Illinois and lived for many years with her daughter, Susan Jahn in Des Moines, Iowa.  She attended Court Street Methodist Church in Rockford.  She received her Bachelors of Arts in Teaching from what was then Eastern Illinois State Teacher's College and her Masters Degree and Advanced Certificate from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.  She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star, and the Business and Professional Women's organization.  
She is survived by her son, Edward and his wife, Eva, of Ipswich, MA, and her daughter, Susan (Walker) Jahn of Des Moines, IA, as well as by the many friends she made during her long life.
