THOMAS JAMES BOUMA, 55
ROCKFORD - Thomas James Bouma, 55, a lifelong Rockford resident, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010, in Amberwood Care Center. Born June 23, 1954, son of James B. and Geraldine Borcherts Bouma. Veteran of U.S. Marine Corps. Formerly employed as a painter with Local No. 607. Tom was a very loving and giving person who always showed a great deal of compassion toward others. Survivors include son, Eric Bouma of Rockford; siblings, Linda (Rick) Bates of Monroe Center, Brian (Dawn) Bouma and Kenneth (Katherine) Bouma of Rockford, and Karen (Jeffrey) Rust of Cherry Valley; grandsons, Andrew Campbell and Benjamin Bouma; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.
Memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, in the Salvation Army Temple, 500 N. Rockford Ave., with visitation from 6 p.m. to time of service; Maj. Everett E. Jordan will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were completed by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.
