 DONALD R. 'BIG DON' BOX, 57 DURHAM, NC - Donald R. "Big Don" Box, 57, of Durham, NC, departed this earthly life Sunday, February 2, 2014, after a brief illness. He was born November 6, 1956, in Rockford; the son of Otis "Sidney" and Lurlean Jones-Box. Donald married the former Lisa D. Giles, February 15, 2010. He was employed by Durham Transit System. He attended Auburn High School, later to receive his GED. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Donald leaves to cherish many loving memories, wife, Lisa; son, Delshun Box; daughters, Delcresha and Delnitra Box and Faith DeVries; four grandsons, Dohnovan, Amarie, Raymond and Braylon; brother, Christopher A. Box; nephew, Christopher Box II; stepchildren, Princess and Darius; aunt, Lou (Robert) Dixon; special friends, Costella Sanders and Bobbi Shaw; a host of cousins and friends; former wife, Symiria Box. He was predeceased by his parents, brother and grandparents. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014, at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 2502 N C Highway 55, Durham, NC. Burial in Glenview Cemetery. View from 12 noon until the time of service. |
