COCKFIELD, GRAHAM McQUEEN, 72, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (March 30, 1999) at home.
Born in Lake City, S.C., he came here in 1975 from Rockford, Ill.  He retired as a sergeant major after more than 20 years with the Army, serving during the Korean War, where he was a prisoner of war for 32 months.  He was a member of the Korean War Vets Association, Suncoast Chapter, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Ex-Prisoners of the Korean War, VFW Post 39, St. Petersburg, and DAV Chapter 91, Pinellas Park.  He was a member of the 24th Infantry Division Association.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sonia; a niece, Elizabeth N. Anderson, Tarboro, N.C.; a nephew, Fulton Hardee, North Carolina; and two grandnieces. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
