Sherdine Biffle passed on October 8, 2025, following a brief illness. Sherdine, born on January 15, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, was cherished by many as the loving daughter of Sherman and Lavern Biffle.
In 1968, Sherdine moved to Rockford from Detroit, where she later graduated from Auburn High School in 1973.
Throughout her life, she demonstrated unwavering dedication to her career and found joy in various activities, particularly her regular visits to the casino. Her commitment to helping others culminated in her achieving the role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Sherdine now joins her beloved family members in eternal rest, including her parents, sisters Linda Jones and Julie Gayden, brother Kenndy Biffle, and dear nephews Sherman Biffle II and Damon Biffle, all of whom she held close to her heart.
She is survived by her daughters—Johnetta, Diane, Latrice, and Tonya Biffle—who will carry on her legacy of love. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers: Sherman Biffle (Ann), Reggie Biffle, Johnny Biffle (Barb), Shawn Gayden (Toni), Julius Gayden, and Joseph Danforth (Susan).
Her grandchildren, including Victor Owens, Twanesha Benford, Jajuan Biffle, Curtis Benford, DeAntonio Biffle, Talisha Benford, Katesha Benford, Keana Benford, Jasmine Biffle, Orintho Farris, Orlexia Biffle, Oriance Biffle, and Jeremiah Martin, along with her great-grandchild, will also miss her deeply.
Sherdine leaves behind her stepsister, Mattice Holden, and her stepmother, Susie Biffle, as well as cherished friends Rosie Moore and Brenda Brumfield.
She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews who will forever remember her kind spirit.
As we honor Sherdine’s remarkable life—a tapestry woven from love, dedication, and cherished memories—friends and family are invited to come together in remembrance on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sundberg Funeral Home, 215 N 6th St Rockford, IL 61107.
Interment is at Cedar Bluff Cemetery
