Nellie Marie "Bay" Jordan, of Rockford departed this earthly life July 17, 2025. She was born June 8, 1955 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Leonard and Nellie Fricks.
Nellie lived in Rockford over 65 years coming from Arkansas. She was employed as a School Bus Driver by the Rockford Board of Education 22 years before retiring. Nellie was a member of Healing and Deliverance Center serving on the Mothers Board. She graduated from Auburn High School class of 1973.
Nellie leaves to cherish many loving memories, her 3 sons, Pastor Wayne (Wanda) Fricks, Jimmy (Tiarah) Fricks and Jermaine Fricks; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; father, Leonard Fricks Sr; 3 brothers, Leonard Fricks, Lee (Anita) Fricks and Thomas Fricks; 2 sisters, Terry Cooper and Glenda Fricks; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Nellie Holleman; sister, Mary Cotton; and grandson Wayne Fricks Jr. Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Gomez Chapel A.M.E. Church 1509 Michigan Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
