Robert "Bob" Henbest passed away on March 17, 2022, following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rockford. A beloved brother, uncle, teacher and scholar, Bob cherished over 43 years of teaching and molding the lives of others. He formed and sustained long friendships with many students, their families, and fellow teachers. He derived great pleasure from gifting and helping others. Bob was a graduate of NIU where he earned two master's degrees. He was a life member of Court Street United Methodist Church. Predeceased by his parents William and Ruth, sister Patricia and brothers Charles, John, his twin Ronald, Michael and Stephen. Survived by sisters Barbara, Kay and Cheryl and brothers Bill, Larry, David, and Tom.

Memorial service will be held at his church, Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court Street, Rockford, IL on March 27 at 2:00 pm with visitation starting at 1:00 pm.
